Ghostworn Armor

Story time! If a warrior survives 100 battles in a suit of armor, it is imbued with the will to defend (or attack) those who the user fought in life. The oldest of these armors are revered as Demigods, for once the armor has been worn by more heroes and seen countless battles, it eventually gains sentience of its own. These armors are known to guard ancient temples where the heroes who wore it are buried, and entire empires have been built around these grounds so kings can consult the wise warrior-spirits housed within.
